This Routine Needs More Cowbell

If you look at my last 7 workouts on the right you might notice something missing. Running. I have racked up a total of 3 miles since I ran my marathon on July 30. 3 miles. They weren't even very good miles as I recall. I think I need to do something about that but I'm not sure exactly when I'll get

hahaha... so funny.

I need some cowbell, people. Way more cowbell.

You deserve a break after a marathon. Btw, I've been meaning to mail you a copy of my running skirt story. It'll come, not to worry.

I just found your blog! I ran my second marathon in June and running in a half marathon in October! I was very excited to read your blog and your marathon report! Congratualtions! Finishing is everything. I'll be back to visit again! Take care1

I think the running can take a bit of a backseat for now, as you're now finding the joys of clipping in for cycling! I'm a scardy-cat when it comes to that. I'm hoping I can get over it, so I can do a Tri next year!

Marathon recovery can take 1 day for every mile that you ran. So you're fine! The cross training with cycling and the clips is excellent. You'll come back and feel better for the rest :)

I have been reading your blog for a little while, and find it quite interesting. I'd probably do the same thing you've been doing about your running--not running. Eventually you'll get back to it. You're probably burned out some from all the run training, so riding a bike seems fun again (even with the crashes).

I think you are wise not to run until the complete recover from the marathon. However you are not following a lazy schedule because the cross training is a good chance to stay in shape.

You are still cross-training and that's not being lazy.
