She's baaaaack...

Today I arrived home (after almost 26 hours of travel) from a most wondrous and fantastic trip to Peru. I am far too tired to produce words that even begin to do it justice but for starters I'll give you this - a picture of me, high above Machu Picchu (visible in the upper part of the photo) on its sister peak, Huanya Picchu

I did no running on this trip in preparation for the Nike Women's 1/2 this Sunday. The climb up to this classic photo op involved ascending from 8,000 feet to 9,100 feet and I'm pretty sure that helped my aerobic conditioning a bit.

I will get in a 7 or 8 mile run this week and then just go for it. I will also continue to write about the trip and share more photos with you. I've got plenty. Right now I am pooped and after 10 nights in hotels and 1 night sleeping on a plane I can hardly wait to crawl into my own, comfortable, familiar bed.

Stay tuned.
