Battling our Monsters
Tomorrow I go down to San Diego to fetch my daughter Pookie who has just finished her frehsman year of college. Go Pooks!
I will be yelling Go Pooks! again on July 4 as she joins me in a local 5K event. For me it means tryng for a PR. For her it will also be a PR because it is her first. When we talked about it she told me she would need some motivation and reminded me of this little girl and asked me to be her own personal monster.
Well Pooks - we need to form a mutual "Kick Each Other's Ask" party because I'm not doing so well myself. This week ALL I have done is swim on Tuesday. That just won't cut it. So please sweetie - kick Mama's ask and help her get to the track for some speed work.

Do freshman coeds still go by Pookie? Just kidding. Hey look at my name, and it not a nickname.
Make sure her first 5k is a blast. Nothing like hammering hard and puking at the end

what if she avoids the word ask? never asks a question because it's a dirty word. DEMAND!
