late christmas present

well, i got a late christmas present this year. when we returned from colorado, sitting on the doorstep was a nondescript box with a ups shipping label addressed to me.

the return address? nikon usa.

while we were away, nikon had repaired the d70 AND shipped it back. i was a little disturbed that they'd ship such an expensive camera and not require a signature, but i pardoned them, since i was so happy to have the camera back. now i can take the photos of the christmas decorations that smsmh put up. the glow from the christmas tree lights and candles makes me think 'photo op!' ever time smsmh turns them on.

on another unrelated note, but related because of the photo, it's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days here. i'd consider this another late christmas present too, since i absolutely love running in the rain. not to mention, the wet weather is extending into arizona and ensuring that the race this weekend will be run in cool weather. last year's race in phoenix was a little too warm for my taste. but the funniest thing about the weather was the headline from today's paper. i caught it out of the corner of my eye and it made me do a double-take. was that the front page or the 'health' section?!

okay, so i made a bodily function joke...sue me.
