taper! taper! taper!

aaah...heaven! i made it through the training and still feel healthy and ready to run! yesterday was the last long run of the training cycle, 22 with mp for the last three. it felt so good to knock that out. i am so ready to rest! the run felt fantastic and the last three at mp felt really comfortable and a welcome change from the lsd of the previous 19.

aside from next saturday's 12 miler, i don't have a run on the schedule longer than an hour. what will i do with all the free time?!? with two weeks until the race...

LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!

i am so jealous.
you make we wonder about the lsd pace vs. mp. i just go. if i go lsd slow it seems to hurt more because my stride is jolty. i just go what i think is comfortable and let it ride. i expect my real mp will be faster.

Enjoy the taper, you've definitely earned it. I can't wait to hear about the marathon. I'd have to agree with David about pacing runs as well. I too just go. Sounds like we could both learn a little from your successes. My long runs tend to be at MP so I probably have little left by marathon time. 2006 offers new possibilities.

you are on, what i like to call, the MO-FO taper! what could be more sweet. why, i wish i were tapering now.

can't wait to watch you break 3! we must have champagne at the finish. for mimosas of course, since it will be so early...

Whoohoo! Nothing nicer than arriving in Taper-town with all the part intact. Jeff, this is going to a beautiful race. You be good to the legs now until the big day. No doing crazy things, no downhill skiing, no slam dancing. Just nice, restful, easy running. Life is good!

Congratulations on making it to the taper healthy.

You only have to do 12 this coming weekend - almost sounds like a crime!

Looking forward to reading your race report already...

Gotta add my $.02. Go baby go. I'll be in San Diego today, but not for your race, unfortunately. The next two weeks give you time to savor the work you've done. Most excellent job.

Great job on your running and enjoy the taper. You have free time???? Now wouldn't that be a first.

Good luck on that race, I bet you do awesome!
