scimmia vede, scimmia fa

IMG_0301  so.  i'm a happy guy.  most times i have a song in my heart and a skip in my step.  that usually comes out in the form of a whistle.  i whistle.  lots.  while i work, while i play, while i think.  so, it only stands to reason that mia scimmia piccolissimo would imitate what he sees, right?  little tc will now pucker his lips and blow.  his attempt at whistling doesn't actually sound like a true whistle, but there is a little whistling sound that he makes.

makes me wonder if all we ever did was whistle around him, would he learn to communicate only by whistling?  if he figures out how to whistle before he can talk, i wonder if i could teach him how to communicate his wants through different pitches or lengths?  *heads off to wiki to find info on a boatswain's pipe*

OMG That is so freaking adorable. And I say freaking because you're the one who instigated it ;)

Miss you on IM.

ah, yes, the little monkeys do bring joy to our lives.

I'm completely enchanted by the idea of raising a kid to communicate in grunts, squeals, and whistles. Mine were quick to pick up on sarcasm (me) and eye rolls(melissa).

Very cute, and not a bad habit to pick up, given all the other options.

Jeff,

I cannot tell you how cute this little kid is. Do you look at him and wonder every day how a little human could be so cute? So adorable.

Your 2007 recap was outstanding, what a nice mix of racing and life.

Thanks for all your support over on my blog recently. I really appreciate your thoughts!

What a little cutie! I guess my parents never whistled because to this day I totally can't do it...Troy's been trying to teach me which is almost as hilarious as your little man trying to imitate you!

It's hard to believe Liam is 9 months old. WOW!!! He is absolutely adorable and I love watching you and Lori love and raise him. It's so cute to watch him tilt his head, mimicking you!! Too, too cute. And now whistling. I've gotta hear that for myself. I don't doubt for a minute that he can do it - or almost. You have been given an incredible gift in this little guy, Jeff, and we have been given an incredible gift too, because he Is OUR grandson!!! We love him so much!!!
