we're packing the family up and heading to stockton (yes, stockton) to meet up with a buddy of mine from the marines. haven't seen him since '92 and i hear he's got a whole baseball team of tricycle motors running around these days. should be a good time. i say should because there's one (only one? haha) thing that i don't like about stockton. i'm not a fan of dodging bullets on my runs.
smsmh suggested that i check online to see if there were any trails nearby that i could run on and guess what? mt. diablo is about an hour from stockton. so. i've never run there or any of the nearby parks, but google maps makes it look very inviting. is there anyone in the mt. diablo area that would be willing to host a 16-20mi trail run for someone new to the area (that'd be me)?

Posted by: Jessica at March 26, 2008 11:58 AMI can see Mt. Diablo out my window! What do you need and when? I might even be able to scare up some company for you from my race club.
Posted by: 21stCenturyMom at March 26, 2008 8:47 PMI just thought of another thing. Del Valle is closer to Stockton than Mt. Diablo and there are miles of trails out there.

You get the idea! That is about 45 minutes from me by car and probably about the same from Stockton.
