Vantage, WA (Frenchman's Coulee)

Echo Basin Sunshine Wall Don Coyote Corner Pockets Corner Pockets Corner Pockets

Frenchman's Coulee is located in the Washington desert about 2hrs drive from Seattle. The climbing area is the result of three separate lava flows that have created geometric pilliars neatly stacked together. Weathering has created pockets on the faces for nice feature climbing, and the spaces between the pilliars make for fantastic crack and chimney climbing.

Williamson, CA

Williamson Rock is off the 2 Hwy in the San Bernadino Mts (just North of Pasadena, CA). The rock is a sort of metamorphic granite (geologists, help me out here!). Long pitches, great friction and epic vantages make this one of the best destination areas near L.A.
