shuffle board on the aloha deck
Due to a big, but welcomed thunderstorm last night I didn't go to the track to do speedwork. Instead I opted for a Spin class at the gym. I have been to Wednesday night and Saturday morning classes and have really enjoyed them, they are a great cardio workout. This is the first time I have been to a Tuesday night class ....
I felt like I was taking a class on the set of the Golden Girls. It was a bit surreal. The class consisted of 8 women all 65+, and one man, in full cycle gear including shoes and racing jersey. The instructor lead us through one hour of salsa music, everyone sang along, and did latin dance moves from the waist up. Except the lone male, who looked like he was in his own tour de france and had just made a break. It was bizarre ...
My coordination ... or lack of it stopped me participating in the dance moves after about 15 minutes, and there was no peloton to help me keep up with the guy in the yellow jersey. So I did my own thing. It was a fun class, I was sweating up a storm, but rose, blanche and dorothy, looked like they could go another hour.

That's totally hilarious! I like spin classes where you can interact with the instructor, the summer classes here have less than 5 so I quit going at noon. Cool music helps too.
