I was incredibly busy last week ... no time to blog and missed a couple runs. I promise this week things will be better, I am also more motivated due to a definite improvement in my time, speed and endurance.
Speedwork on Tuesday was tough but it didn't kick my butt like the week before. We did 4 x 800 with 200 rest lap. It was still tough but I think I paced myself better than I did for the 600s.
Thursday night we had 8 miles on the schedule, I left my watch and garmin at home on purpose, so I would just have a slow pressureless run. I ran with people who are a little slower than me, and I think it was actually harder to run slow than push myself. By the time we got to 3 miles, I just didn't care about the run and wanted to go home. We took a walking waterstop break I after that I could barely get my legs to move again.
I missed my normal Saturday morning run due to lack of sleep. Yes it was self inflected, I went out for a few drinks after work on Friday night and finally got to bed at 5am ... but it was a great night
