day 26
Have you ever ... not been able to get asleep, then not been able to get up when the alarm goes off, or after the third snooze? Dragged yourself to work, hoping you would wake up, that the coffee will perform miracles? Then meet a couple friends for lunch, but you are late, cause that's just how your day is going. While waiting for you they take the liberty of ordering you a large glass of wine. Due to them being such wonderful friends and your constant people pleasing tendencies you down the wine, even though you wouldn't of ordered it. Have you ever ... had a glass of wine at lunchtime when you are really tired and spend the rest of the afternoon with you face on the desk.
That was the beginning of day 26.
I can't even begin to the describe how exciting the propect of a run was at the end of day. Crawl into bed and sleep ... go out in the heat and run. hmmm
I ran.
We did a timed tempo instead of distance tonight which I really liked. The group starts together and you run for 34 minutes, turn around where ever you are, then you have to get back to the start in 30 minutes. It was a lot of fun, and I got to run with D!
The run gave me some energy and I feel better than before ... so I'll probably be awake til 2am and have to hit snooze 14 times in the morning.
only 5 runs left to do in Julyathon ... Jeff thinks we should extend it to Augustathalon ... Jeff is crazy .. what do you think?

Have I ever, YES! I feel your pain.
He may be crazy, but so are you. List the pros and cons of the last month, it would be interesting to know what your take on the whole experience is.

I vote for taking August back to normal, comparing your blog notes from August with Julyathon, and maybe having Septemberathon instead. Julyathon seems to be pretty rewarding most days for you. Your superhuman devotion is rewarding for me, too! haha ... Plus this will give your body a chance to recover a little.
... or you could just become one of those people in Runners' World that run every day for 45 years. Whatever floats your boat ;)

reading about Julyathon has got me planning an Augustathon. You've been great this month!
So take a month off and let the rest of us catch up!

Oh last night was that way for me!!! David was tossing and turning and I was without covers, so I moved to the couch where the cat decided to attempt laying on my face... I think he might be like this Oscar cat that predicts death, only he was going to kill me.
Augustathon sounds great, you're enjoying this pain...haha.

Good for you for choosing the run. It sounds like it was a fun one. I'm going to have to try that sometime.

Augustathalon does have a nice ring to it, but you're already making the rest of us look bad. If you want to do it again you should be thinking Februaryathon, only 28 days!
