julyathon - day 3

So far so good, 3 runs down, 28 to go.

july 1st - 10k race
july 2nd - 5k recovery run
july 3 - grass fartleks and hills

It hasn't been difficult yet ... then again it's only three days, if I was struggling this soon we'd been in a bit of trouble. Getting up at 6.45am on Monday before we left Ottawa was easier than I thought. I was stiff, a little from the race and a bit from walking 14 hours on Sunday, but mostly from the bed of steel. The run loosen out my legs and gave me another view of Ottawa - post Canada Day celebrations

Tonight we had a grass fartlek workout. Not my favourite. It's actually on the 'rather not do this again' list. We have a mile loop in the grass that we alternate between 4 fast and slow sections. I don't mind the fartlek workout, it's the grass that I don't like. I could feel my ankles tighten, they feel like they need to be cracked.

After the workout on the grass, we did hill repeats. The fun just never ends!

Even a half mile of slow running, counts, right?

I'm just sayin...

You are getting a variety of runs in! Sounds like it's going well.
