today was one of those days. Those days that come only a few times a year. A day when both the weather, your legs, your lungs and head all align to create something wonderful. A day when you could run forever.
I ran yesterday and had a good run. We need 19km. Enough for half marathon training two weeks before the race. But I decided I wanted to get some additional distance on my legs today.
The weather was idealic. If I could bottle it, sell it to runners I could quit my job, holiday in mexico, and grace the cover of a celebrity tabloid with my antics (cause there would be plenty). It was sunny, cool, no humidity or wind.
I am actually tearing up with all the wonderfulness.
The run felt easy. The stiffness from yesterdays run lasted less than 5 minutes, after that my legs felt fresh. Seriously, this is something I haven't experienced in months, in fact I can't remember the last time.
I got 13 plus miles in this morning. That's practically two half marathons in two days! I am like, oh what's the word ... friggin awesome!

You are ready for Grand Rapids! Hope the weather is perfect.
Oh how I love those days.
