the six pack challenge ...

When hot yoga and cleansing aren't enough, sign yourself up for another challenge!

That's what me did.

Really I just wanted to hang with the cool kids. Amanda organizes the best challenges and has prizes and giveaways ... she rocks! I didn't take part in her awesome Holiday Bootie Buster, that would have interfered with my cookie and alcohol consumption, no activity December.

I had an opportunity to redeem myself when Amanda announced her January Six Pack Abs Challenges, I gave it a hell ya, I'm in.

Really who doesn't want a six pack?

So I joined, which in my mind means I should get said six pack just for saying I want and I'll do.

Then I looked up the 'plan' I signed up for ... Self Magazines Ab Workout. Seriously I hurt just looking at it!

To late I'm in. Time to suck it up. Here's the rules

Rules
1. Program runs Jan 19 - Feb 17
2. Committ to really following it or doing it at least 3 times a week
3. Pick a success factor: Jeans are loser, inches lost, whatever you choose just let us know up front how you are judging the program
4. Report results along the way here or on your blog
5. Report final results by Feb 20th to be entered in drawing for prizes.

I am going to do this workout every other day. I'll take measurement today and on Feb 17. Not sure how else to measure the success of this plan, I was thinking of timing how long I could hold plank position, since that is about core strenght.

Any measurement suggestions?

I figure by the 17th my abs better look like a washboard and then there will be no need for other measurements... damn it I shouldn't have just eaten that cookie. maybe I do need to try your cleanse

Man, you are on a roll! That looks like a killer workout.

Yes, timed before/after holding of front and side planks. OR, before/after photos of the pack.
