waiter there is a hair in my soup ...

There is a coffee shop downstairs that has been there for years.

It's not a chain.

It's not reasonably priced.

It doesn't provide great customer service, actually the service is slow, and the staff are rude.

It has two things going for it.

Location
It's in the building. You don't have to risk your life and extremities venturing out in Canadian winter to get your java fix.

Entertainment
It's always an experience. You either get yelled at or ignored. We have an office pool each day on what it'll be. They are not so much "Hi, what can I get you?" and more a sharp 'yeah?" followed by a long piercing stare. The staff love there jobs.

Today the staff were particularly angry.

I'm thinking it was the hair nets they are now donning. The lady with the perm was making hers work, although her circa 1986 bangs weren't inside in the net, which I am guessing defeats the purpose.

Anyway, what really worries me is why they had to start wearing the nets?

The soup nazi has branched out into coffee shops.

To shorten the queues by turning people off?

I can only guess its the government making sure you are safe. That would be the same people who were helping us through Maple Leaf listeriosis.
Oh well we'll all just have to find another way to die ow that the coffee is hairless.

hehe... i love places with interesting characters. i really don't like those bland formula chains with zombie type staff following script orders.

The staff at my lunchtime sandwich shop had the same customer service training.

If they aren't texting or making themselves something to eat, or talking to each other, then you get served.

Just don't ask any questions, that really annoys them.
