"passion lives here"
i literally have goosebumps right now as i sit and watch the opening ceremonies.
ever since i can remember i've been drawn to the olympic games, both winter and summer... and as always, i sit here, like a small child, watching in awe as the dancers and athletes and musicians perform.
nothing compares to the majesty of the olympics for me, and for the first time this "season".. i'm inspired, and i can't wait for tomorrows run!

Dang, girl! I'm watching the final fireworks of the opening ceremonies as I type this comment. I too LOVE the Olympics-- the pageantry and the sport. Looking forward to the next two weeks!

How funny. It always happens like that, doesn't it? When you're expecting them to call they don't, and when you're not, they come in droves. :)

Were you watching them live on satellite or something? Your post went up two hours before the NBC broadcast went on? Anyway - you got me into it so as soon as they came on I was glued to the t.v.!

Agreed. I didn't see all of the opening ceremonies but I did catch part of it. It must be so exciting to walk through that stadium!Off topic but I need to know - how do you make those nifty tables in your sidebar for annotating your races, etc? The Black Knight would like to know, as well. If you tell me, I'll tell him. Thanks!

Isn't it great that we now get Olympic Games ever two years? I'm so glad they decided to start alternating. On another note, and I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed about it or not, but I normally come close to crying during the closing ceremonies.

I didnt see it, spent the day running (13 miles) and then hanging with my youngest one. We did watch some skiing and figure skating though. I agree the ceremonies are great!
