watch out running... here i come.

so i think its about time i start living up to the name of this blog again.

i've been giving it a lot of thought, and... the time has come. i've finally found a race i want to train for.

the Boulder Backroads half-marathon!!

okay, okay.. i know what you're thinking. Liver Guy made sure i knew....

mountains.
elevation.
no oxygen.

but the way i see it.. that's a good thing! it'll be that much more... FUN! and... EXCITING! (read: hard. and miserable. weeeee!)

but, what's done is done. i've signed the waiver, and paid my way.

all i gotta do now is run....

and that's never been a problem, before... right!?

yeah. i'm totally screwed..... HOW FUN!

Is that the call of the HABC in the background?

YAY SO EXCITING! get your running pants ready! you do know that you don't get body marked for half-marathons right? :) hehehh

Oxygen is highly overrated :-)

Anyway, that means you now have an excuse to take the week off before to go to CO and acclimate :-)

NONONONO that's the same day as the las vegas oly tri...you're supposed to do THAT race so we can hang out... :)

(you'll have a blast trail running!)

backroads is a mild and smooth course, you'll kick it easily.

Sweeeeet! Gotta love that "omg. what have I done" feeling of hitting the submit button! Besides, you'll rock. :-)

The good news is that you can't even think about a PR because you don't live at altitude. Nothing but fun!

i'll alert the paramedics!

hehe.

Sounds like a great race to run! I am looking into doing a fall half marathon...and if I am living in that area... I might think about joining you!

This confirms your need to attend the Greyhound High Altitude Training Camp in July.

We have your room waiting for you.

Randomly stumbled across your blog and it's so entertaining!

Yo tambien soy chaparra pero te llevo como tres pulgadas!

Good luck on your training!

Races are always a good excure to take a vacation. If anything they serve as the alibi. Like running the half marathon in vegas etc...
