Half sister isn't technical - it's biological. Good for you for reaching out. Sisters have a right to know each other even if their mutual parent screwed things up.

That would just be so weird...thing is, I actually have a half-brother...only found this out about 5 years ago maybe...yeah, nothing like finding out mom gave a baby up for adoption when you are in your late 20s...and unfortunately closed adoption, so I'll probably never get to meet him.
