another mr. and mrs.
one of my most favorite people and best friends in the world got married last night... Carpool Guy. his girlfriend-turned fiance-turned wife is a doll. she's hysterical, gorgeous, smart, talented, and... born the same day as me.
coincidence?! i think not!

it was a fun, yet highly surreal night. almost the entire college crew was in attendance and while it was strange to see almost all of them with wedding bands on, it was a drinking-dancing-festival of fun.
what was the most fun though!?
nobody recognized me. from the beginning of the night on, i was met with strange looks and second glances. between the makeup, the hair, and i suppose the thinner face, i was the "who's that chick!?... ale?! no WAY!" girl, and i gotta say... i enjoyed it immensely.
throughout the night long-time-no-see friend after friend came up and asked if i was "still doing that whole running/biking thing?!" and i was proud to be able to say.. "yup. sure am"..
after the third or fourth person asked about my training and then filled me in on how they'd "really like to start working out. its just so hard to find time. i need to get in their though... " yadda yadda, i realized i'd become, without my knowledge...
that girl.
the one who's name is synonymous with "training. racing. gym. health" and it was a pleasant surprise.
i can't drink like i used to. lord have mercy i can't drink like i once could. i have a hard time staying up all hours of the night and i'm no longer on the dance-floor 24/7...
but, somehow, it all suits me just fine.
i love my college friends. i adore and love them all intensly... but the night was a definite reminder that... people change. i've changed. and i don't think i can ever go back.
i don't think i'd ever want to.
but for just the one night though?!... it was alotta fun to try!

I always find it funny when I sometimes get introduced to people like "This is Danielle. She's a crazy athlete." which amuses me because I am pretty dang slow - but there are so many people who don't find the time for that in there life so it all seems crazy!
