what's with my swim?

omg what the hell.

there is something wrong with me.

this morning after way too many laps of the one-armed drill, my body completely took over. my mind was no where near the pool.

for whatever reason, for the remainder of my swim, every time i took a breath on my left side, i paddled twice with my left arm.

just... just purely on reflex.

i was like some kind of defective robot. my fourth, fifth, sometimes sixth stroke were all with my left.

what is WRONG with me?! i cannot form some sort of odd one-sided swim habit. i'll literally be stuck out in a lake somewhere swimming in circles.

what in the hell!?!

make this go away!

I am seriously laughing out loud, not just pretend LOL-ing. I have this picture of you in the middle of a lake, going in circles, while all the challenged athletes scream by you and look on on horror.

"Dude, what's wrong with her?"

That's easily the funniest damned thing I've heard all week. It's only Tuesday, but that has some staying power to it. Is that muscle mis-memory? Or just a brain fart?

:p

Quit doing one-arm drills...

Stronger took the words right off the ends of my fingers - no more one armed drills for you! Stick with catch up drills and finger dragging. Both of those will keep you going forward.

haha sooooo funny! I used to be a competetive swimmer until I blew out my shoulder and had to get 6 screws in it (hence why i am now taking up running). One armed drills are about all I can do now...so I feel your pain! Keep swimming...it gets more natural as you progress :)

Clearly don't be signing up for any tri's with any out and back courses. What you need is a looped course tri - then you'll be the swim-godess.

you are TOO MUCH!

you are TOO MUCH!
