Great pics!
I went to a track workout once and was told to shorten my stride and take 'baby steps' keeping my feet under my torso. So don't change a thing!

Crazy. How's that for a lil' perspective on the skies!?

I like the second one from the left on the bottom. You can really see the emotion of the day on your face. Congrats on an awesome day even though it didn't turn out how you wanted it in the end you still did a rockin' good job out there and you look good doing it! ;)

I am sorry to hear they cut your race short. I would have cried big time too. Found ya on Jeanne's blog. I will keep reading.

From the article on Gabe Jennings in the July issue of Runner's World - "Meanwhile his legs churn forward, his feet clawing the ground in a powerful, choppy cadence..."
Maybe a short stride isn't such a bad thing! Those are great race pictures - and the skies do look pretty ominous in a few of those...yikes!

It's amazing that you can do that much and still have a smile on your face. Keep up the good work...

OK, I am in an Internet Cafe in Rome on a Saturday Night and I am CRYING here. Catching up on your blog after a few days without a computer... I am sending LOTS of Long Distance Hugs. But if my two cents counts for anything (anything more than two cents...) 70.3 is sorta kinda just as arbitrary as 63.5. And about 100% more of an effort than you ever thought you would have been able to do not that long ago... You, my crazy girl, will get your 70.3 soon. I know it!

Short strides work very well for a bunch of folks!

Great photos!!! You look really strong and happy.
PS - I have a very short stride that people sometimes make fun of. I find them to be much more efficient, especially after riding a bike.

CHECK you out, wow hermanita you've come a long frickin' way. You know I've always heard a shorter stride is good because it helps the cadence. I was all like, yeah whatever until I tried it, and shaved about 9 seconds per mile off my pace without changing anything else! Maybe you're Jerry Mouse step there is the start of something BIG baby! ;-)
