I think simba's mom is right, there actually is a scientific explanation for that - my science is rudimentary but I'll give it a shot: If you don't consume enough food, your body goes into "conservation" mode and your metabolism slows in order to prevent starvation. So maybe then if you're properly nourished, it revs up again and crunches those calories as fast as you consume them? Whatever the real reason, that's the best "diet" I've ever heard of!!! :)

Details: see Simba's mom's comment...?I'm not sure what happened! I ate and ate and ate and ate and ate. I walked on my run on Sunday, and so far this week, have only done three 3.5ish mile runs. And I'm down two pounds! (On Monday, I weighed in at 136, but thought it was a fluke. With it hitting 136 five, food-filled days later...wow!)

What? How can you be an eating moster and lose weight. I'm jealous!!! That's fabulous. What's your secret? Are you just eating lettuce?

Maybe your super-appetite was just evidence that your metabolism was working in high gear!?
