Final Day in SoCal
I had so much fun this weekend! It was exactly what I needed.
Unfortunately, a combination of a rich lunch with two beers, followed by two glasses of framboise ("fram-bwah"), topped with two flights to get home to Tucson caused for a sick night (I'm terrified of flying; I had no clue my palms could sweat!) :( I spent most of last night in the bathroom, and am waiting to feel slightly better before I head into work.
Coming up: a challenge has been thrown down, plus - my return to ultras

I was hoping this weekend would inspire you to run ultras again! Welcome Back!

Um, sorry about that framboise there, Angie. If I see you out there in AZ at Javelina, I'll bring you some coffee (whole or ground?) :)
Having met you at Twin Peaks was quite a treat. Reading your blog doesn't do its author justice. You really had such an engaging personality, stopping and listening to what people had to say with what appeared to be the utmost interest. And, having such a kind soul at the finish made the experience that much more worthwhile!
Trying to remember who I am? Picture that dork with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing the red Javelina shirt!

Sorry about that double-post, Angie. I am, sorry to admit, still a bit of a 'techno-tard.'

Just a note about this "dork with shoulder-length brown hair", he and I finished around the same time well after dark. As I looked at his sun baked on salt, he told me that he had picked up a yellow water bottle and had thought is was mine. So he handed it to me. I thanked him and went trying to remember my name. Later on after I was home I thought back about when I fell in the poisen oak which was when my water bottle fell off. It was before Holy Jim. This guy carried a FULL water bottle for 24 miles and returned it to me. He may never see this post. If I had the chance I would thank him with more effort true appreciation for his kindness. He looked like he had had a very, very, long and rewarding day.
And yes, Angie it was nice to see you and the other two fellows at the finish. Never again. Take Care, Mike Kennedy
