Sinus infection
I'm afraid I have a sinus infection. I go to the dr tomorrow to confirm. I've been having symptoms since Thanksgiving weekend, and have mostly stuck to my run/exercise schedule (I missed one day). Headaches, tons and tons of green mucus, tired, pressure in my nose/head, post-nasal drip (a little). Living on ibuprofen and sudafed. I wanted to do 2-3 miles today and 3 tomorrow morning.
Should I continue to run? Am I making things worse?
Help!

If you can run through the headaches, you are amazing. But mainly, isn't the rule, if it's above the neck and you can stand it, you can keep running, below the neck (i.e. in your lungs) probably need to let the crap get out of your lungs before you do too much. Sounds like you are good to go. I hope you get better soon. I have a few sinus infections recently and the head pounding just about does me in.

Take a rest! If you have an infection you're probably making things worse. And you may have a virus too - you don't want to worsen it with vigorous excercise.
Take a rest, the sooner you're better the sooner you can get back out there and run!

I just find if I don't run it makes me feel worse. Also for me the running speeds up the healing process. I knew a guy in his 70's who always ran when he was sick.

I hope you feel better soon! For run of the mill head colds, running makes me feel better. But if you feel really bad, you probably need a rest. Take care!

I am bad for advice. If I find one excuse, it leads to a ton more:)
