First Days
My first day at my new company held in a little more than I expected from my first day. I expected to be shown the offices, maybe my desk, and meet a few of my future colleagues. What I got was a cup of coffee, a tour around the offices before anyone else even arrived and finally, I was taken on site where I met a few of my colleagues, got some work to do... and worked an hour and a half of overtime on my first day. That is IT for you.
I arranged with Andy to meet him at the pool at 18h00, but had to phone him just before 17h00 to let him know that I wasn't going to make it. At 18h45 we arrived back at the offices and I managed to make it to the pool just after 19h00. So we swam 500m and then came home - I'm utterly and completely exhausted and ready to just pass out (explains why I'm lying in bed instead of sitting downstairs).
I already know that I'll be in the office tomorrow - I'll most likely be less tired tomorrow then!
