A Time to Remember

This afternoon I finally managed to start training again.  Very few know, but about 2 weeks ago someone shoved me down a flight of stairs while I was out celebrating a friend's birthday with them. It was a case of mistaken identity, but the after-effects was a very sore back which had gone into spasm, a slightly sore ankle and a bruised body.  I have a few places where the girls managed to make their shoes connect with me and it shows by means of a little blue bruise here and there.

So, as I mentioned, I managed to get on the bike today, with my back feeling about 99% better.  The fact that I hadn't managed to get on there for the past 2 weeks definitely kicked me in the gut a bit as I suddenly felt incredibly incredibly unfit.  My lungs didn't want to co-operate.  My legs felt like jelly.  But in the end I finished 45 minutes on the bike and felt good about it.  Hopefully it was just a case of first-exercise weakness and not anything more serious than that.  I'll try do all the sessions I'm scheduled to do for the next week and see how it turns out.

Tomorrow I have a 2 hour run scheduled... anyone interested in joining me for it?

Yikes. This is horrible. Did they pay for their mistake in any way? I am glad to hear that nothing more happened to you.
