I ran! Woohoooo! Andy joined me on my outing as we witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets ever.

Not much else to say right now :)

Tonight I Run

It is hot outside. And windy.

It'd of course be the day that I choose to go for my first run. Note though, that I haven't gone yet, I'm only committing to going right now so that I cannot chicken out tonight with an excuse of 'maybe I should wait'. The doctor hasn't actually given me the all clear, but considering that I have been walking up and down stairs so many times in the past week that I have lost count, with no sign of pain, I hereby commit to running at least 3km tonight.

DVDs?

I'm not a big fan of exercise dvds or programs. It seems they always use equipment that the average joe wouldn't be carrying in their homes - a Reebok step (or any other step for that matter), weights and elastics and whatever else - or they play music that would drive you insane, or worse, do exercises that no person should attempt on their own first.  Which is why I am almost ashamed to admit that for the past week I've had to resort to using a dvd to get some exercise done in the morning.  I have a variety of pilates dvds and then I have Gillian Michael's dvds which are a tad more energetic in my cupboard.  Considering that I have a tiny crack in one of the bones in my foot, I can't do a morning run or cycle and have resorted to stretching and folding myself, attempting to get into the positions that the nice lady on the television screen is doing so easily.

This morning I did yet another dvd and it felt... almost ... enjoyable.

That said, I hope the next 6 weeks pass very quickly.

LA Marathon - In Training - 3.02.08

I got a parcel today. In it, there were two shirts.  Two shirts that intend to declare my intentions for the second of March to the www.  WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

So to the left, you will notice now that I thought you should see it as well. I spread it out over  and my lounge floor, grabbed the camera and took a picture.

I have to go back to the embassy in London on the 21st of September to finalise my visa, but after that, its clear sailing.

I can't stop smiling - its just wonderful to know that next year I'll be there :)
