This year’s 80K Fidelitas Nacthlauf (Night Run) again sparked lots of interest among running circles in Karlsruhe, Germany and the surrounding area. This year 660 ultra-runners participated in the event, 160 as individual participants, the rest in 125 four-person relay teams (each running 20K).

112 out of 160 individuals finished.

Do you need walkers? :)I was thinking fondly of the Schwartzwald this morning as I was going through a bookcase, trying to ruthlessly cull books. I have a bunch of books auf Deutsch on travel, and I finally had to admit to myself that not only was I not going to read them, but that my ability to do so is diminishing every year. So I am going to bring them by one of the local scooter dealers, which is owned by two German nationals.
