Anybody familiar with Atlanta, Georgia out there?
Somebody very dear to me is thinking about applying for a job in Atlanta, Georgia. Any bloggers out there that can provide feedback about living in Atlanta? Things like rent prices, crime, safe neighborhoods, transportation and stuff like that would be interesting.
An no I'm not moving to Atlanta, of course unless you want to give me a job there ;-)

hmm...my experience is with the suburbs north of there, like norcross and buford. those are nice areas, but about a 30-45min drive from downtown. atlanta is like most other large cities in the us...some crime in the bad parts of town, some bad suburbs, some good. a real estate agent or rental agent should point them in the right direction, though. housing is dirt cheep there, compared to california. =)
and the weather is usually quite nice. a little humid in the summer, but overall, it's a very nice part of the us.
