Recovery 4

Had a surprisingly pleasant run today. It's kind of warm here (80-something while running), and it's supposed to be in the 90s when I run tomorrow. Yuck! I ran 2 miles with Molly, and then went back out for another 2 by myself. I wasn't expecting the run to be that great, since I went to lunch with the guys and had 2 slices of pizza ($2.97!) followed by a peanut butter cup sundae at TCBY. But I felt fine, aside from being sweaty. It's almost time to run shirtless. Apologies in advance to my neighbors who'll have to see my pasty belly.

2 | 18:52 (w/ Molly, 9:26/mi)
3 | 9:16 | 28:08
4 | 9:11 | 37:20
----------------
4.02 miles | 37:33 | 9:20/mi.

I have a question for Bob and any others that run with their dogs: what do you do with the poop bag? Today was the first time that we contined to run after Molly made a stop, and I couldn't figure out a good, non-annoying way to carry the bag until we got to a trash can (which ended up being the house, 1.1 mi away). Just curious what others do.

I think Molly's allergic to her food. She's had some "issues" which went away after we switched her to the bland food diet (rice + cottage cheese, which she surprisingly goes nuts for). I started to reintroduce her food last night, and the "issue" started to return today. BOO! Especially since we just bought a 30# bag not that long ago, and Nature's Variety isn't cheap. Now I'm going to have to figure out if I want to try another flavor or research a new "acceptable" brand.

Hey mg I am lucky I live in the boonies so if the dog poops it is generally in some overgrown right of way off some country road or off the trail. I can't help ya with that one, sorry. Nice running I love recovery runs. :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog today.

I miss running with a dog, but my life is a little too busy to have one right now. I'll just have to live vicariously through you and Bob and the others who run with their pups.
