Today was the first day in almost a week without rain. Our yard finally looks like a yard. Most of the water in town has receded; there was concern that they would have to re-route tomorrow's half-marathon due to standing water and downed trees on the trail but the latest update on the track club's webpage reports that both should be gone by tomorrow. Not that I'm running, but I'm glad for the people that are that they will still be able to use the normal, certified course.

So my blog's looked a little ... sparse lately, and I can't remember the last time I've left a comment for anyone else. In the past, this has usually meant I'm having a bad patch with my running. That's not exactly the case right now, as I'm sure some people might have started suspecting. But just in case, here's why I've been kind of quiet lately:

I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow. I've been writing, but not hitting publish. After I publish this entry, I'll be going back and publishing the 27 or so posts I've made since the end of June. If you want to read, they start here. I'd always thought I would publicly post from the start, but after seeing local ISPs in my sitemeter I got a little paranoid about having it public before I was ready for people outside the family to know.

I haven't run as much as I would like, because it's awkward and slow and therefore not very much fun. I'm hoping that as I get into the second trimester, things will be better. But other than that, I've been doing pretty well. No major morning sickness, and no puking except for when I had the flu last month.

Congratulations! I'm so glad to hear you had luck with Clomid.

Yay, you're almost through the first trimester - the second trimester brings halfway decent running and general comfort...enjoy it!

Congrats to you and your family - I was hoping this was the cause of your infrequent posts.

Yea! Horray! A new little runner is on the way!

Hey, that kinda rhymed. :)

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

since i'm all about the "EEEEEEEE!!!" these days, I'll direct one right your way. so exciting!

congratulations to you and your hubby![and molly, who I suspect may not like not having all of your attention once the little one comes :) ]

Congrats. I know it's something you've wanted and waited for for so long. I was really wondering about some of the weird patchy posting you've been doing now it makes sense. It's fantastic news.

Hopefully the running will make the pregnancy and delivery easier too. That seems to be the case for a lot of people.

Yeah! Congratulations!

I tried to continue running when I was pregnant and can relate to feeling slow and uncomfortable (actually, I would add awkward to my list!)

I hope the 2nd trimester brings your joy of running back. Good luck! :)

that is very cool, congrats to you guys! i keep forgetting to leave a comment (shame on me). hope all is well!

w00t! exciting times for you guys. when M5 shows up, give me a holler and i'll tell you all the stupid stuff that the doctors and nurses should have told you in the hospital but they usually don't and thus save you lots of headaches after the fact. ;)
