I think I might have run my last pregnant 6 miler yesterday. The forecast for next weekend shows highs in the teens, which most likely means wind chills in either the single digits or below zero. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but I don't think running in that type of cold is a good idea right now. I suppose I could run 6 miles on the treadmill, but I'm thinking that's not too likely. The temptation to stop running is just too high on the treadmill.

But really I think I'm most likely done with 6 mile runs because of how incredibly slow I've gotten and the discomfort I'm experiencing. Yesterday's stats:
25°F | felt like 17°F | From NNE 7mph
1 | 11:31
2 | 11:15 | 22:46
3 | 11:25 | 34:12
4 | 11:31 | 45:44
5 | 12:28 | 58:13 (hill, ice)
6 | 11:51 | 70:04
----------------
6.03 miles | 1:10:23 | 11:40/mi.

Like last week, I ran to and stopped at the health club (3 miles) to use their bathroom, but then went a different way back. The bike path I ran on was mostly cleared, but there were a few patches where the footing was a little suspect. I didn't realize I slowed so much on the hill, but it's not really a surprise I guess. I'm starting to get some cramps/braxton-hicks while running which are kind of annoying.

I only ran 16 miles last week instead of the 18 I've been doing. Tuesday morning I was too tired to get up and treadmill before work. I wanted to run when I got home, but I kind of didn't feel like it and my leg had felt weird all day. So I did 20 minutes of elliptical to warm up, and then ran 2 miles. Wednesday morning I got up early to treadmill. I ran 2 miles, but decided to just call it a day at that point instead of my usual routine of taking a bathroom break and then running the last mile. The beginning of this week was just kind of weird - all of a sudden I was just really uncomfortable and cranky. But things felt back to "normal" by Friday - I even ran my 3 miles that morning without a bathroom break.

I have to commend you for continuing to run. If it were me (and I know it'll never be me..), I would have stopped running looong ago!

I think it's awesome that you're still running, regardless of the distance! When it's finally time for my husband and I to start a family, I hope I can keep running through the pregnancy, too! You're an inspiration!

I think it's great that you are still running. I so want to send one of my friends to your blog...she gave up running each pregnancy due to "risks" and I told her she could've kept going...you're proof of that!!
